After the historic 10-month success of “The Hippies” exhibit at the West County Museum, the Western Sonoma County Historical Society is throwing a pot-luck party for the hippies who made history at the open land communes, and all who wish they had been there 1967-1973. Bring your own table setting and a dish to share. Ramon Sender Barayon, the historian of the two communes, will launch his book “Home Free Home.” It contains reminiscences of the denizens, and over 300 photographs, some of which haven’t been seen before.
