Books on Stage/Telling the Story
Since 2014, the Reflective Democracy Campaign has studied the demographics of political power in the United States and revealed a grave imbalance that should concern us all. Across red and blue states, from the federal to the county level, at 70% of the American population, women and people of color hold just 1/3 of elected offices. To navigate the challenges of the 21st century, we need a government that reflects the wisdom and experience of all Americans. Tod Hill, consultant to the Campaign will present this ground-breaking research along with stories of how progress is being made to challenge the status quo and build a reflective democracy.
The event will be followed by wine, cheese and conversation in the lobby. Suggested donation $10.
