The TELEGRAPH QUARTET, which the San Francisco Chronicle declared “an incredibly valuable addition to the cultural landscape”, seems to be on a trajectory toward the heights of the chamber music world in the United States. Having won two of America’s most prestigious chamber music awards, the Grand Prize at the 2014 Fischoff Competition and the Namburg Award in 2016, they now perform regularly throughout the country.
The Quartet’s Healdsburg program will include an early tonal piece titled Rondo by the 20th century German miniaturist Anton Webern, the eminent American composer John Harbison’s Quartet No. 6 (written for the Telegraph Quartet), and the Quartet in F Major by the great French impressionist composer Maurice Ravel.
