Left Coast Syncopators (formerly [4] Guys Named Mo) is an acoustic side-project of Rhythmtown-Jive, featuring a wide variety of American roots R&B, including boogie woogie, blues, cajun, roots rock, Southwest Louisiana Dance Hall music and New Orleans jazz. This scalable unit works for venues large and small, especially acoustically-challenged venues, or just those needing a more subtle yet live musical ambience. These guys are notorious mood-setters on acoustic piano, string bass, clarinet, tenor sax, trombone, tambourine, rubboard and traditional trap drums.

The band members, Tim Eschliman, Ken “Snakebite” Jacobs, Kevin Zuffi, and Kevin Dillon have performed and recorded with some of the finest names in the business, and are in demand and recognized as journeymen in their field, having worked Bo Diddley, Big Joe Turner, Frankie Ford, The Nightcrawlers (in New Orleans), the Storyville Stompers (in New Orleans) Johnnie Johnson, Earl King, New Orleans rock & roll sax innovator Lee Allen, Robert Ward, Long John Hunter, La Vern Baker, Frankie Ford, Al Rapone, Ernie K-Doe, Gary U. S. Bonds, Herb Hardesty, Leo Nocentelli, Syl Johnson, Big Jay McNeely, Jesse Colin Young, Boz Scaggs, Don & Dewey, Elvin Bishop, the Coasters, Joe “Louis” Walker, The Coasters, Little Anthony, and The Drifters.

The band goes even deeper into the retro grooves of roots dance music and funky jazz. In addition to their original numbers, the members of the group draw from a well of obscure and unusual post-world war II saturday night rave-ups and moody relief numbers that offer something different for the dance-inclined public: Louis Jordan & his Tympani Five, Big Joe Turner, Hank Ballard & the Midnighters, Big Jay McNeely, Clyde McPhatter, Freddie King, Lee Allen, Clifton Chenier, Maceo Parker, Jimmy Reed, Louis Armstrong, Huey “Piano” Smith & the Clowns, Roy Brown, Thurston Harris, Ray Charles, the Meters, Smiley Lewis, Paul Gayten, King Curtis, Sonny Thompson, James “Wee” Willie Wayne, Ella Mae Morse, Lil Millet, Will Bradley, Ray McKinley & Bill Doggett.
