Senior Park Aide Sarah Reid will lead hikers on a route to explore wildflowers and anything else we find! Pace will be moderate to slow depending on the group and what we stop to discover.
Wear layers appropriate for weather and sturdy shoes for hiking. We might cross a creek, so be prepared for the possibility of getting your feet wet! Varied terrain and rocky trails recommend trekking poles. Bring water and snack. HEAVY RAIN CANCELS.
This route begins and ends at the Warren P Richardson Trailhead parking lot, end of Channel Drive. From Montgomery Drive, turn onto Channel Drive. Pay day-use fee or display State Park Pass at STOP sign ($7 per car, $6 for seniors). Continue one mile to parking lot. Restrooms, water and picnic tables available in parking lot.
Approximately 3 hours on varied and rocky terrain and elevation gain of about 400 feet. RSVP not required.
No dogs allowed.
