Durang Durang by Christopher Durang
A Night of One-Act Comedies
For Whom the Southern Belle Tolls, a send up of The Glass Menagerie;
Medea, a parody of the Greek tragedy;
The Actor’s Nightmare, actors and their really bad dreams!
Directed by Sandy Ziviani
Three hilarious one-act plays by award-winning American author Christopher Durang. For Whom the Southern Belle Tolls, the playwright offers a comic reprise of Tennessee Williams’ classic, The Glass Menagerie, last seen on our stage in 2011.
Durang then takes on Medea, spoofing the famed Greek tragedy.
Finally, from his own painful experience Durang gives us The Actor’s Nightmare, where actors cannot remember their lines, cannot find their scripts, and when they do, their lines are gibberish!
