Colter Wall at the Mystic Theatre

Sat, January 26, 2019, 7:30 pm - 11:30 pm

Colter Wall is a prairie-born songwriter from Saskatchewan, Canada. His signature baritone vocal is paired with sparse, beautiful songwriting inspired by artists like Townes Van Zandt, Blaze Foley, Emmylou Harris & Waylon Jennings.

Wall’s inaugural EP, Imaginary Appalachia, made him a grassroots-buzzed-about young artist (19 at the time) and evoked visceral reactions from industry veterans, his musical heroes and peers, as well as a loyal and ever-growing fan base. Two years later, Wall recorded his self-titled LP in historic studio B in Nashville, TN – produced by Dave Cobb. And as his path got more interesting, Colter partnered the publishing side of his music up with producer Rick Rubin. Both records are available from Young Mary’s Record Co. / Thirty Tigers.

McNear’s Mystic Theatre is located in historic downtown Petaluma, California and is described by many as the North Bay’s Premier Music Venue. Built in 1911, The Mystic Theatre originally was host to live Vaudeville entertainment and in 1992 was renovated to accommodate live music performances for up to 550 guests. There is a full bar and restaurant access making McNear’s Mystic Theatre first choice for a great night out.
