Join us again in celebrating the life and times of the mysterious, swashbuckling troubadour who was Johnny Downer. His life was filled with music, friends and good times. We are the caretakers of that legacy. Join us and his band, Free Peoples, for a day of keeping up his good work. We will also be celebrating the life of our dear, Uncle Bill on the official “Uncle Bill Stage” in the beer garden throughout the day.
On Sunday, January 13th, there will be 25 bands – each playing for 15 minutes in the Hopmonk Sebastopol beer garden. Hosted by Bill DiCarli and Hopmonk and MCd by yours truly, this event is a West County showcase of many of Johnny’s musical friends and accomplices who carry on his memory in live music, frivolty and general carrying-on. This will again be a must-not-miss day of Sonoma County’s premier music aficionados and friends.
Free, all-ages, friendly-dog-friendly. All outside beer sales and donations (suggested $10) for the evening show in the Abbey are appreciated and donated to the Sebastopol Education Foundation’s Music in Schools Program.
