Sesquicentennial Reception for Santa Rosa's Time Capsule

Sat, March 24, 2018, 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm

On March 16, 1968, two capsules were buried in Old Courthouse Square in Santa Rosa. About 1,000 people came to the dedication ceremony for the two capsules, one to be opened in 2018, and the second to be opened in 2068. On March 17, 2018, the first time capsule will be opened in a ceremony at the new Courthouse Square, and afterwards, will be brought to the History Museum to be displayed to the general public.

Join us at the History Museum for a reception to celebrate Santa Rosa’s 150 years and view the time capsule’s contents on display. We have planned a couple of programs that day and hope that you can come to enjoy the reception and programs about the time capsule and the special film showing of Santa Rosa: The Chosen Spot of All the Earth.

Light appetizers and cash bar.

Event sponsors receive two tickets and recognition in the Museum’s marketing materials. Event sponsorships are fully tax-deductible.

Free admission.
