Mandela was born on July 18, 2018 and he passed away on December 5, 2013. He is held in deep respect within South Africa, where he is described as the “Father of the Nation”.

Zulu Spear’s inspiring, uplifting and energetic concert blending African Rhythms with soulful harmonies and mesmerizing dance steps. Plan on dancing the night away!

“IN THE 1980S, Zulu Spear was one of the most successful and sensational world music bands in the Bay Area, releasing a major label album, touring nationally and sharing stages with Ladysmith Black Mombazo, the Neville Brothers and the Grateful Dead, among other top acts.

Wearing traditional Zulu costumes and playing South African rhythms and harmonies punched up by a horn section and electric guitars, they were a hugely popular live band. In 1987, they won the Bay Area Music Award (Bammy) for best blues/ethnic act.” – Paul Liberatore, Marin Independent Journal
