Summer Concert at the Museum

Sun, July 22, 2018, 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm

“Dirty Cello’s music is all over the map: funky, carnival, romantic, sexy, tangled, electric, fiercely rhythmic, and textured, and only occasionally classical.” —Lou Fancher, Oakland Magazine.

We’ve moved the concerts in the summer to Sunday evening in the Sculpture Garden! Bring a picnic dinner and enjoy live music by an opening performance TBA and Dirty Cello. Curated by bay area band, Dirty Cello, the concert’s repertoire will present an eclectic mix of fine music from all over the bay area and beyond. Each concert at the Museum is different, as Dirty Cello has a large and varied repertoire.

From China to Italy, and all over the U.S., Dirty Cello brings the world a high energy and unique spin on blues and bluegrass. Led by vivacious cross-over cellist, Rebecca Roudman, Dirty Cello is cello like you’ve never heard before. From down home blues with a wailing cello to virtuosic stompin’ bluegrass, Dirty Cello is a band that gets your heart thumping and your toes tapping!

Members are $10 prepaid or $15 at the door. Non-members are $15 prepaid or $20 at the door. Donations for the musicians will be gratefully accepted.

Doors open at 6:00pm; concert starts at 7:00pm. Cash bar.

Event Sponsor receives 2 tickets and recognition in Museum’s marketing materials. Event sponsorships are completely tax-deductible.
