Transhumance Festival

Sat, June 9, 2018, 2:00 pm - 9:00 pm

The Transhumance festival brings the outer landscapes to the village center. We want to bring awareness and show the connectivity of how our food choices affect our landscapes, local economies and waterways.

Education, speakers, food and music, exhibits, and marketplace.

The Transhumance Festival honors grassland culture and the work of shepherds, farmers and ranchers.
We want to expand our ecological lexicon in our region by educating the community; from our school children, to our consumers to our producers alike.

The Transhumance Festival in partnership with the Grazer’s Collective hopes to renew curiosity in our community and help develop shared values to discover simpler ways to connect with our landscape and food system.
