Remembering Our Loved Ones: The Ancient Aztecs & Systems of remembrance

Professor López will discuss how the Nahuas used pictograph writing in order to record their history and genealogies. She will also discuss the Day of the Dead traditions and importance of memory in the oral storytelling tradition of the ancient Aztecs and how to use storytelling methods for modern times.

Malinalli López is an entrepreneur, filmmaker and professor at Sonoma State University. Her film production company XQL media is dedicated to producing films that have a positive social impact.
