The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time is one of the most exciting and successful plays in recent years. Based on Mark Haddon’s 2003 bestseller, the adaptation by Simon Stephens draws us into the strange and brilliant mind of Christopher, a 15-year-old autistic boy.
Part mystery, part family drama, The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time invites the audience to see the world through Christopher’s eyes as he valiantly maneuvers through a confusing world in an effort to solve the mystery of who killed his neighbor’s dog.

Alternately funny, enthralling, heart-wrenching and triumphant, this 2012 play took the world by storm. Winner of seven Olivier Awards as well as the Tony and Drama Desk Awards for Outstanding Play.

Directed by Elizabeth Craven, The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time features Elijah Pinkman as Christopher, Gina Alvarado as Siobhan, David L. Yen as Ed and Bronwen Shears as Judy. The cast also includes Jeff Cote, John Craven, Liz Jahren, Lydia Revelos, Chris Schloemp and Ari Vozitas.

During the run of this show Spreckels is partnering with Alchemia to host their new art show, “A Spectrum of Creativity” in our lobby for the duration of the run of The Curious Incident, etc. Alchemia is a local organization that nurtures the creative expression of individuals with disabilities as a vehicle for personal growth and accomplishment. In addition, Alchemia artists will host talk-backs following the Sunday September 9 & 16 shows. We encourage people to stay to converse with these remarkable artists.
