Sat, April 6, 2019, 10:00 am - 3:30 pm
Join us as we discover an array of spring wildflowers blooming along the Sonoma Mountain Ridge Trail culminating with a dazzling display on the top of the East Slope trail with fantastic views of the valleys below, San Pablo Bay and, if clear, Mt. Diablo! We will expect to see carpets of California Poppies and Lupines at the top and a variety of wildflowers along the Sonoma Mountain Ridge trail. Join Park naturalist John Lynch as we take a moderately paced 12 mile nature hike to explore the wildflowers and anything else we find along the way.
Limited to 20 hikers. Rain will cancel.
We suggest you wear sturdy shoes, bring water, lunch and binoculars on this moderate hike with elevation gain, suitable to all ages 15 and up. With the abundant rain be prepared for a few muddy trails.
