Clean River Alliance Benefit

Sat, May 12, 2018, 5:00 pm - 10:00 pm

Dance party, spaghetti sauce cook-off contest, and silent auction. Ticket includes spaghetti dinner with salad and garlic bread. Vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free options will be available.

Bring your whole family to the third annual Clean River Alliance Fun Raiser. Proceeds from this benefit will go towards the purchase a heavy-duty truck, to replace the aging vehicle now hard at work hauling trash off the Russian River. Dance beneath towering redwoods to the high-energy, positive sounds of Sol Horizon, twice voted “Best Reggae Band” in the North Bay by the NorBay readers poll. Cast your vote for Best Sauce in the spaghetti sauce cook-off contest, place your bids on silent auction treasures, and enjoy outdoor games for kids of all ages.

Founded in 2014 by Forestville resident Chris Brokate, the mission of Clean River Alliance is to remove trash from the Russian River watershed and to educate citizens about the problem of trash in our waters by creating more public cleanup events. In 2017 alone CRA organized over 1000 volunteers to collectively remove over 170,000 pounds of trash from the Russian River watershed. In the last 3 years CRA has expanded its scope to include post-fire erosion and runoff mitigation following the Oct 2017 firestorm, Adopt-A-Highway programs in Guerneville and Cloverdale, and the Clean Camp trash collection service for those living without houses in the lower Russian River area. Clean River Alliance is a fiscally sponsored project of Russian Riverkeeper.
