3 Acre Holler plays original and Appalachian inspired songs with mostly rural influences. The band is especially drawn to modal songs and dark themes, leading one pundit to call their music “Dark Country”. Led by singer/songwriters Cori Wood and Layne Bowen, the band also includes heavyweights in the acoustic world, Fiddler Paul Shelasky, bassist Cary Black and dobro master Michael Capella.

Veterans of many Bay Area bands, together, John and Michael bring their unique views of life through their songs and deliver them beautifully wrapped in their tasteful playing.
