"Abstract" Two Person Art Reception at Fulton Crossing Artisan Center

Abstract art reception at Fulton Crossing
Sat, July 22, 2023, 12:00 pm - 3:00 pm

Join Kay Young and J.D. Emmerson for their two person “Abstract” art show at Fulton Crossing. This new, exciting show begins on July 21 and ends on August 20.

Young works on canvas and glass incorporating paper collage elements and paint in her pieces. Her multi-layered techniques are created using glass, paper, and canvas surfaces. Emmerson boldly creates intense studies using bright acrylic splashes and prismatic details. His sense for loud and yet universal color patterns is playful and joyful. Both artists are part of the Fulton Crossing Artisan Center and have studios onsite.

You are invited to join the artists for a FREE reception on Saturday, July 22 from Noon-3:00pm. Delicious small bites and beverages will be served. You can visit with the two featured artists as well as watch a watercolor demo by Robert Benson. Check out the other 18 artists in their open studios while you are there.

Another fun happening will take place in the studio of Gayle McGee. The artist has created an interactive wall mural just for this reception event. Her “Art By the Inch” presentation allows the viewer to position a matted frame somewhere on the piece and then cut out just that section for purchase.

Fulton Crossing is located just west of the 101/River Road exit. There will be plenty of FREE parking.
