Sebastopol Regional Library is delighted to showcase Batra Nĵana Schmidt’s art show, On the Wall, Off the Wall, a collection of abstract acrylic paintings and Cape Verdean documentary photos, September 24, 2024, through November 16, 2024. The community is welcome to meet the artist and enjoy refreshments Sunday, October 27, 2024 from 2-4pm.
About the Artist:
Eleven years ago at age 70 these wildly abstract acrylic paintings were created by local artist Batra Nĵana Schmidt. Her artistic temperament led to documentary photography. A Creola soul guided the Kodak camera capturing her beloved Cape Verdean culture.
