
Children’s Day Returns to Sonoma State Historic Park
Sonoma State Historic Park is happy to announce the return of Children’s Day to our state park! Thanks to SPParks (Sonoma Petaluma Parks, Inc.) this event is entirely free for the whole family! The event is happening on Saturday April 29th from 11am – 3pm, at the Sonoma Barracks. Free parking is available behind the barracks at 335 1st St E, Sonoma, CA 95476.
Kids, both young and old will have the opportunity to take part in making handmade crafts, listen to free music, enjoy a historic cooking demonstration, meet live animals, and much more at the historic barracks!
The Sonoma Barracks is a two-story, balconied, adobe building facing the central plaza of the City of Sonoma, California. It was built by order of General Mariano Guadalupe Vallejo to house the Mexican soldiers that had been transferred from the Presidio of San Francisco after the closing of Mission San Francisco Solano.
