The nonprofit Cotati Historical Society’s Open House will feature free Cotati Museum tours and live music by Sourdough Slim & Robert Armstrong, the last of the Vaudeville Cowboys. The museum, inside City Hall, will be open 12-4 p.m., with music in the Community Center’s Cotati Room, 12:30-3:30 p.m. Learn about Cotati’s remarkably long history: from Mexican Rancho days and small-town rural roots to Japanese American challenges and contributions, 1920s and 1960s auto racing, its world famous counterculture-nightclub heyday. A family friendly community event. Refreshments will be available for purchase from the Twin Oaks Roadhouse food truck and a wine-and-beer bar. 201 W. Sierra Avenue. Visit www.sourdoughslim.com for a foretaste of the Cotati Accordion festival headliners’ music.
