Windsor’s Dia de Muertos celebration returns to the Town Green Saturday, Oct. 28, from 4-8 p.m. Everyone is welcome at Windsor’s 12th Annual free, family-friendly, alcohol-free celebration honoring past generations now among “Los Muertos” – The Dead. Bring your low-backed beach chairs or camp chairs to sit on the Green and enjoy music, dance, and dinner from your favorite street trucks throughout the afternoon and evening. Check out the free activities for children, including face painting and sugar skull decorating. Wander the Lowrider Car Show to see classic autos turned into works of art. Browse a market full of goods made by local Latino artisans. Listen to music from local youth mariachi orchestras and Latino bands. Music, car show and activities are free. Food, drink and artisan market goods are for sale.
*In order to honor the sacred origins of Dia de Muertos and the indigenous artists performing blessing dances, there will be no alcohol sales at this event.
