The new documentary, Marguerite: From the Bauhaus to Pond Farm, will be shown on February 8, 2024 at Santa Rosa Jr. College Newman Auditorium from 6:15PM to 7:30PM. Although this is a free event, donations supporting Pond Farm are greatly appreciated.
Trained at the famed Bauhaus, Marguerite Wildenhain was one of Europe’s most talented ceramists. During World War II, she fled to America and started a new life at Pond Farm—an isolated ranch in Northern California, located above Armstrong Redwoods. Marguerite: From the Bauhaus to Pond Farm follows this extraordinary refugee and shows how a generation of artists journeyed to Sonoma County to learn from the reclusive Master Potter.
Directions: Newman Auditorium is located next to Emeritus Hall — https://maps.app.goo.gl/DURHYiCpctLLuqNX8
