After three years, we are proud to once again welcome Fanna-Fi-Allah to Sebastopol! Fanna-fi-Allah holds the flame of traditional Sufi Qawwali music, ignited originally in Pakistan and India. Sufi Qawwali music is a mystical, passionate and ancient devotional art form that invokes deep remembrance of oneness through powerful songs and dynamic rhythm.
Through the richness, depth, power and beauty of their music they embody a universal message of devotion and love. Sung with a powerful soaring chorus and masterful accompaniment by the energetic rhythms of tabla, two harmoniums and group clapping, the glory of life is celebrated with ecstatic lyrics of the ancient mystic poets, music and sacred dance.
This six piece ensemble will also feature Aziz offering the Dervish “Turn”.
