Santa Rosa Forward, in collaboration with Kimzin Creative and the city’s Public Art Program, is unveiling an interactive sculpture available for the public to build while imagining a future Santa Rosa that they want to live in.
Participants can enjoy music while they play with the interactive puzzlw/sculpture, enjoy snacks and refreshments for purchase, and learn more about Santa Rosa Forward, the City’s multi-year effort to update its General Plan.
This public art display was imagined through world-building workshops as civic engagement with the local youth, led by artists Erika Lutz and Briona Hendren. Over 100 high school participants attended four community workshops to collectively envision a future Santa Rosa as it relates to health and environmental justice. Santa Rosa Forward is an opportunity for the community to discuss how Santa Rosa can become an even more sustainable, resilient, healthy, and inclusive city through the General Planning process.
