Join us on this Ranger-led walk at sunset and back in the dark of the new moon.
We will meet at the parking lot and watch the sun go down from the picnic area. From there we will take a slow walk up to Sentinel Pt to listen to the night sounds of the ocean, howl at the coyotes, listen for owls, and try to identify some constellations.
Bring a ghost story to tell….or a poem!
Bring binoculars for looking at the Milky Way and other celestial sights. Upload a stargazing app on your phone to help out – try “Night Sky” or Sky Guide.”
Registered guests will meet at our parking lot on Highway 1 at 8pm. Sunset is at 8:33.
We will be walking back to our vehicles in the dark. Please bring a flashlight or a blacklight! Kids welcome.
