Christopher Leith Evans is an American painter, matte artist, and visual effects art director. He has created more than 100 matte paintings for films including Star Wars: Return of the Jedi, Star Trek, E.T., and Titanic. Evans was awarded an Emmy for The Ewok Adventure and was nominated for an Academy Award for Willow. His work has been exhibited in numerous solo, group and public exhibitions, and can be found at the Duke University Museum of Art, Neuberger Museum of Art and Los Angeles Theatre Center.
