Johnny “V” has played guitar with Blues greats that include Chicago guitarist Luther Tucker, Sunnyland Slim, Rock & Roll legend Chuck Berry, Steve “Guitar” Miller, Greg Allman, George Thorogood, Charlie Daniels, Commander Cody & the Lost Planet Airmen, and Elvin Bishop.
His time with Elvin Bishop’s band led to 6 albums, multiple Gold Records, extensive touring and the monster hit “Fooled Around and Fell in Love.” Together, Johnny and Elvin set a distinctive style that formed part of the Southern Rock Sound and continues to live on today.
