Stanroy Music Center Presents Song Service, an intimate evening with three artists passing the spotlight. Expect insights into the craft of the song from inspiration to final form.

Faethora is composed of 1/4ths slap-you-in-the-face pop music with an overflowing half cup of theatre arts and a sprinkle of whatever else she fancies to sing and write at any given moment. Based in Sonoma County, she uses her powerhouse vocals and dramatic flare simultaneously to produce not just a sound, but a stage experience- while making sure to throw in dashes of soft-and-sweet here and there. She has a classical vocal and musical theatre background, which she uses as much inspiration for her music. She creates catchy melodies with lyrics pertaining to personal struggles and familiar stories alike. Faethora often uses various media she enjoys as inspiration and ties it to her own personal feelings and experiences to bridge the gap between art and reality, as well as the artificial space between the strange and the mundane. She has written about mental illness, social interactions, the pains and gains of being on the autism spectrum, the world around her, death, and perfectionism, as well as the occasional “just for fun” scenario.

Rick Fitch

I was born in Southern California, moved to the Central Coast, then migrated northward to an alternative school in remote mountains of Trinity County. Living off the grid, many nights were spent singing and playing live music. I finally settled in Sonoma County, which has been my home for the past 40 years.

Many of my earliest childhood memories are accompanied by music, at home with my folks playing Peter, Paul & Mary on the HI-FI, or listing to the Beatles on KRLA from the backseat of my babysitter’s car. I was hooked on music at an early age, got my first guitar and harmonica when I was in grade school, and still learning to play them! After singing the songs of others for many years, I finally decided that it was time to tell my own stories. So, for the past eight years I have been writing songs from the heart, my memories, life’s experiences, as well as goofy stuff I just make up!

I love to go out to see and play live music, it inspires me and keeps me going! I have been involved with West Coast Songwriters and I also play in a band called Band of Friends, playing vintage rock, blues, and country, with a few originals thrown in for good measure.
