Gradina

Gradina is a Balkan music ensemble, having been based in the North Bay area since 2001. We sing a cappella and also some songs with instrumental accompaniment, leaning toward traditional songs and arrangements. We present “sit-down” concerts for choral listening as well as dance concerts, and are also available to teach most of the dances we present. We are honored to play with many Balkan musicians from near and far, and every concert is different, often with a different array of performers.

Helm

From original compositions that have become classics in the worlds of Tribal and Belly Dance to traditional music from throughout the Mediterranean, Helm has continually expanded their repertoire since the band’s beginning in the early 1990’s. Based in Marin County, CA, Helm had toured internationally with performances in London, Rome, Lima, Istanbul, Moscow, Australia, and the island of La Reunion. In addition to their 12 plus albums, Helm has provided sound tracks for both film and television productions. Helm’s performance history includes over thirty Renaissance Faires, multiple appearances at the acclaimed San Francisco Ethnic Dance Festival, and numerous corporate and private functions.
