The Musers
Like a gang of a goofy musical siblings, The Musers cruise through Irish, funk, Appalachian, blues, swing, and gospel to develop a new sound in folk music. You’ll laugh, cry, think, and dance a jig. Their multi-instrumental folk-roots grooves are not to be missed. The fun is inevitable! The Musers are Megan McLaughlin on guitars, Leslie Jackson on cajón and mandolin, and Tom Kuhn on bass.
As the name might suggest, Sugar Mountain started as an acoustic trio focusing on the Neil Young songbook. Featuring the interplay of guitar, mandolin, bass, and harmony vocals, the band has evolved into a group with a repertoire that covers everything from Bob Dylan and the Band to even an occasional Beatles or Led Zeppelin song. And you’ll hear songwriters like Stevie Nicks, Nick Lowe, and Gram Parsons in their sets. Sugar Mountain is Bethany Sorkey (Good Old Persons) on bass and vocals, Paul Kotapish (Wake the Dead, Hillbillies from Mars) on mandolin and vocals, and Joe Cadora (The Quarry Persons) on guitar and vocals.
