He will also answer your painting questions as they apply to his current body of work which is on display in the building. Benson’s extensive career as an Art Director, Graphic Designer and Illustrator led to his painting career that now spans over 35 years. His work is collected by art aficionados throughout the U.S. and beyond. His work is characterized by strong light and shadow contrasts, evocative subjects, and powerful color palette use. “My aim is to produce paintings of familiar subjects with universal appeal and a fresh perspective. I create appealing, accessible paintings to enhance your home or business space. My goal as a painter is to stay loose and let your eye fill in where there is little detail and to evoke an emotional response as you interact with the spirit of my work,” says Benson.
His award-winning work has appeared in several honored publications, and he is known for his landscape, still life, and figurative works. Refreshments will be served.
