Hike! What's On and Under the Rocks…and What Are Those Rocks Anyway?

Join John Lynch, a Certified California State Naturalist and park volunteer, on a moderately paced, approximately 5 mile hike exploring invertebrates, geology, fungus, lichens, amphibians and more! Hike returns to same parking area.

Wear hiking shoes, layers appropriate for weather; bring lunch and water. Some trails are rocky and uneven. HEAVY RAIN CANCELS. A short break will be included for lunch.

Day use fee $7 per car ($6 for seniors) pay at stop sign on Channel Drive. No advance reservations needed. Dogs not allowed. There are restrooms and water at the parking area.

Directions: from Montgomery Drive, turn onto Channel Drive and follow the road in approximately ¾ mile to the STOP sign. Pay fee or display State Park Pass. Drive 1 mile to the large parking lot. Please park snug with other vehicles to accommodate the most cars.
