The Funky Gators are back in the north bay to entertain you for their debut performance at Monroe Hall. For those that have never been to Monroe hall, it is an old school dance hall that caters to people that want to dance and have fun.
There is a one hour basic dance lesson before the band plays. There will be waltzes, two-steps, cha-cha’s, line dances, swing, blues, night club and slow dances. It’s great for first dates, long time old friends and couples. Singles will have plenty of dance partners too as this place caters to dancing!
The Funky Gators plays live Cajun and Zydeco music also including old time R&B, Blues and Motown favorites. Long time vocalist and rubboard player Myrna will be lending her vocal talents to the mix. You might remember Myrna from the former Sonoma based band Gator Beat. Dana Mandell (also a former Gator beater) will be on accordion.
It’s going to be a fun time all around, so be sure to bring your family and friends and dance off that turkey!
