The Seshen
A six-piece Bay Area-based led by singer/lyricist Lalin St. Juste and bassist/producer Akiyoshi Ehara. Their sound combines synthesizers, drum machines, live percussion, and entrancing harmonies to create an unmistakable fusion of R&B, synth-pop, and electronic music. St. Juste and Ehara are joined by four remarkable bandmates are joined by four remarkable bandmates drummer Chris Thalmann, keyboard/synth player Mahesh Rao, percussionist Mirza Kopelman, and sampler Kumar Butler to combine genres like (hip hop, indie rock, early electronica, and 70’s dub).

Ghost & The City
Emerging from Oakland’s thrumming underground music scene, the ensemble melds the alluring vocals of soulstress Kia Fay, the elastic beats of drummer Will Jenkins, and the lyrically charged keyboard and synth work of Ash Maynor, who also writes most of the material. They have a sensuous  trip-hop jazz sound and have opened for heavyweights like Hiatus Kaiyote and Shabazz Palaces.

Open Door Legal
They built the country’s first system of universal access to civil legal representation, and show a 21X social return for every dollar you donate. We all need it. If you add up the total amount of money spent on legal aid in the U.S., it amounts to less than the cost of one jet bomber, and we rank countries like Senegal, Malawi, and Nigeria all rate better in access to civil justice.
