3 On a Match are a blues duo comprised of Smokin Joe Herrschaft (vocals /harmonica) and Isaac “Lifeguard” Carter on slide guitars. They have covered many genres and artists as well as providing original songs. Some material that they have been known to cover is that of Howlin Wolf, (early) Rolling Stones, Mississippi John Hurt, Bob Dylan and Sonny Boy Williamson.
Although primarily a duo, the team has been known to beef up the roster with an occasional drummer and/or bass player depending on the needs of any particular gig.
They were voted “Best Local Band in Sonoma” by readers of the Sonoma Sun Newspaper in 2015 and previously opened for Big Bad Voodoo Daddy at the Uptown Theater in 2016
