Hopmonk brings you the best laughs in the Bay Area with 707 Stand-Up Comedy Night! Local comedians Jon Lehre and Jefferson Mars host an always different and diverse group of hilarious comics from all over California every month in the Abbey. 18+ adult content. This month we have headliner Emily Van Dyke, Mean Dave, Patrick Fishman and special guest Nina G.
Originally from the Midwest, Emily Van Dyke loves best friend tattoos and telling inappropriate stories at baby showers. Emily has opened for Colin Quinn and Judah Friedlander, she has performed in SF Sketchfest and she’s a local favorite in the Bay Area.
Mean Dave is a regular at Cobb’s Comedy Club, Punch Line in SF and Sacramento and Laughs Unlimited and has opened for headliners such as Judy Tenuta, Big Jay Oakerson, Allan Havey, Tom Rhodes, Neil Hamburger, Brent Morin, and most importantly, Barry Sobel. Most of Dave’s life has been littered with utter disappointment and flat-out betrayal that only a sarcastic, cynical sense of humor can remedy. Hopefully this information helps you in your decision as to whether Mean Dave’s comedy will help you attain laughter as you progress through your futile existence. Many fans agree with this statement, “Mean Dave has made us laugh, cry, and cringe! He is honest and cynical, and such a sweet person.

Patrick Fishman is a Bay-Area based comedian originally from Toronto, Canada. In 2017, Patrick won the Underground Comedy Club’s Amateur Comedy Competition, and in 2018 he was nominated for an “I Heart Jokes” award for “Best Newcomer” in the Toronto scene. A two-time Clash of the Comics roast battle tournament champion, Patrick has performed at the 420 Comedy Festival in 2018 and 2019, and at Montreal’s Zoofest and Off-JFL  as part of the Just For Laughs Festival in 2019.
Nina G is the Bay Area’s only female stuttering stand up comedian.  She is also the author of Stutterer Interrupted and Bay Area Stand-Up Comedy: A Humorous History. She has been featured in/on everything from NPR’s 51%, BBC’s Ouch, Psychology Today, Tedx, KQED radio and multiple day time talk shows and podcasts.
