Upstairs Art Gallery is featuring Sonoma County artist, Laura Roney, as she returns from the ashes with new and glorious paintings after losing all in the firestorm back in October 2017. “Vistas and Vines”, a rebirth of new oil paintings from Ms. Roney, comprises works of sweeping views and Sonoma County vineyards. Her creations will be featured in the front window of the Levin & Co. bookstore and upstairs in the art gallery. An artist reception is planned for Saturday, August 4th, 2 – 5 pm. The show runs July 30 – September 2.

“This part of the country is so beautiful. It is a pleasure to capture it in paintings. My paintings focus on the breathtaking beauty that makes up the wine country, and I am endlessly enamored with the gorgeous vines and stunning vistas”, states Laura.

Focusing on her art since 1993, Laura has worked to perfect her drawing and painting abilities and has had the opportunity to study with a number of great contemporary artists. She is currently pursuing her Master’s Degree in Fine Art at Academy of Art in San Francisco.
