Daily Acts is thrilled to invite you to our annual Harvest Party on Saturday, August 25th from 4-8pm at a private homestead in Petaluma. We will be celebrating the Earth’s bounty, sharing a few preservation skills to add to your homesteading toolkit, and connecting the dots about the emerging Resilient Homes program and how you can get involved. We hope you will join us for the good people and stay for the amazing food, foot-tapping music and tasty demonstrations!
Merriment will begin with a brief tour of this beautiful 3 – acre homestead, complete with chickens, edible garden and rolling oak woodlands. This will be followed by an educational offering from food preservationist extraordinaire, Sabrina Kahn, who will teach us how to make foraged blackberry elderberry jam with best practices. For those who have apples or know where to gather some, there will also be an apple press for those interested in learning about the effervescent process of cider making. Music from Twin Soles will follow while we feast on seasonal delights and dance the night away!
We will provide the bulk of the libations, but if you have anything you would like to share with the community please bring a dish. Registering for this glorious summer celebration will allow us to provide enough food and jam jars for everyone, plus it will ensure that you know where to go.
If you want to spend a little more to show your Daily Acts love and spread the ripple – we have a second entry price which includes a DAO t-shirt so you can show your glow to the world. Let the berry making begin!
