Arriba & Beyond is a bilingual hike to a scenic summit led by Carlos Barragán, the park’s Bilingual Program Coordinator, as part of California State Parks Week. This guided hike is an opportunity to explore Jack London State Historic Park in a new way—whether hiking a trail that’s new to you or learning the Spanish and English names of the plants and animals.
This hike will take participants to a scenic summit, providing an opportunity to learn more about the park’s landscapes, natural features, and ecology through bilingual interpretation.
Along the trail, participants will engage in bilingual nature exploration, learning the Spanish and English names of trees, flowers, and wildlife through interactive activities. Whether fluent or just beginning, everyone will have the chance to immerse themselves in a different language, be it English or Spanish! At the summit, the group will take a well-earned break and have plenty of opportunity for some amazing landscape photography before we make our way back down.
The hike is free for registered attendees. The park entry fee is $10 per vehicle, up to nine passengers.
California State Parks Week is presented jointly by California State Parks, Save the Redwoods League, Parks California, and California State Parks Foundation.

En la cima, el grupo tomará un merecido descanso y tendrá tiempo suficiente para tomar fotos espectaculares del paisaje antes de regresar.
