Kayaking isn’t just recreational. Did you know that sprint kayaking is an international Olympic sport? We have a youth team right here on the Petaluma River! Come on down to The Floathouse Boat Rental Center and learn more about these sleek and speedy boats with the River Town Racers! On The Floathouse dock, you can meet team members, parents, see a boat up close, try out a “kayak ergometer” (like the rowing machines you see and use at your gym, but for kayaking!) On the water, there will be several different kinds of boats; come watch team members demonstrate their skills! See boats, meet team members and parents, try out a kayaking ergometer (like a rowing machine, but for kayaking!) Watch team members demonstrate skills on the water. Maybe even sign up for the summer camp that leads to membership (June 19-24). Open to youth aged 11-18.
