Darvesha Victoria MacDonald, a Murshida in the Sufi Ruhaniat, will be the guest leader at the Feb 25th Sebastopol Dances of Universal Peace. She is also a Ziraat Experienced Farmer, and a long time Buddhist practitioner. She is a Senior Mentor of the Dances of Universal Peace, has served as Chair of the Guidance Council since June 2007 and as President of the current DUP International board of directors since January 2008. She has travelled extensively worldwide teaching and leading the Dances. Her major focus for the last 20 years has been seeding the Dances in South America.
She will be supported by local leaders Tui and Bhavani, Noori and perhaps others, and accompanied by live music. All Dances are taught in the moment, no partner, experience or special clothing or beliefs required. All are welcome!
The Sebastopol Community Center Annex is fully accessible. (Please join us next month if you are not feeling well or have cold symptoms. Masks are optional.) Donations from $5-$20 are welcome to cover the cost of our rental and insurance, and give our guest leader an honorarium. Thank you!
