Darwin + Mike Berg at The Lost Church Santa Rosa

Playing like a soundtrack to reverie, the music of Darwin offers a subdued tone that nevertheless commands attention. With ethereal introspection and haunting vocals, the California artist is able to immerse listeners in a wholly unique experience that crosses the boundaries of genre and compositional tropes. His latest band, Night Crickets features David J (Bauhaus, Love and Rockets) and Victor DeLorenzo (Violent Femmes) released their debut album in 2022 on Omnivore Records with a follow up nearly completed.

Mike Berg is a Singer-Songwriter from Minneapolis who plays fingerstyle guitar and piano. Equally influenced by the darker sides of alternative rock and folk from the 60’s to 80’s, Mike has also performed in bands based in Germany, San Francisco, and Los Angeles. His full-length album, “Lights Down”, was produced by David J (Bauhaus/Love and Rockets), and he is currently working on a new EP with Santa Rosa musician and producer, Darwin Meiners. Mike’s previous West Coast shows have included the Cafe du Nord (SF) and the Roxy (LA).
