“You use a glass mirror to see your face; you use works of art to see your soul.”
The words of George Bernard Shaw are a reminder that beauty is sometimes what another’s eyes communicate. And that the human face is unique in its infinite range of expressions. What we see in art of the human face, is what we ourselves are or have become.
Artwork focused on the interpretation of the human face in all its many and varied perspectives. From a formal portrait to a face in the crowd, there’s no limit to how we may see, interpret and present the human face, certainly one of the oldest and consistently presented art subjects of all time.
