Join us for an outing to Willow Creek! This free seven mile, 3+ hour hike led by Forest Unlimited showcases the environment of a recovering river valley and redwood forest following centuries of human impact.
During this out and back hike will be explaining some of the ecology and history of the Willow Creek watershed, as we explore a landscape that transitions from riparian to second growth redwood forest. This is one of the most beautiful areas of the Sonoma Coast, preserved and protected thanks to the work of Forest Unlimited and multiple organizations and public agencies. Forest Unlimited opposed multiple logging plans in Willow Creek and played a role in convincing Mendocino Redwoods to sell to Sonoma Coast State Parks.
This hike will take place on the morning of Saturday March 30. Space is limited so reserve your spot here.
