Joshua Martin is an American Outlaw Country, Blues & Southern Rock singer-songwriter from Bloomington, IN. Inspired from the various Outlaw Country, Blues & Southern rock scenes of his home state & various states where he was stationed serving his country for over two decades! Joshua is anticipating releasing his debut album in 2024. His music is characterized by unique rough, raspy vocals, diverse lyrics from personal experiences and a wide array of electric vintage guitars blazing tones & sounds. Joshua is completely self taught playing slide, lead & acoustic. He also occasionally plays Harmonica, Mandolin & Banjo as well.
Born and raised in Southern Indiana, Joshua grew up in the country as an only child living the farm & subsistence lifestyle. His Mother was a diverse music lover playing numerous records on vinyl, exposing him to various genres! His father played Country, Ragtime & Folk acoustic guitar giving Joshua his own guitar and amp at the age of 9.
Since retiring from the US Coast Guard Joshua launched his musical career in mid 2022, Touring across the nation playing a wide variety of venues. Joshua has opened for David Alan Coe, Chris Cagle, Donny Van Slee & shared the stage with numerous well know artists across the country.
