Pi Jacobs draws inspiration from her unconventional upbringing in “The Land of Weed and Wine” aka Northern California.  Blending roots-rock swagger and storytelling soul, her music has drawn comparisons to Tom Waits, Dolly Parton, and Lucinda Williams. Armed with an old Gibson, a “sultry” (Claremont Courier) “explosive” (Glide Magazine) voice, and a thumping homemade stomp box, Pi creates a show that is a fun, high energy, affair. Glen Starkey (New Times SLO),writes:  “you’ll forget your problems for a few hours”

Her music has been featured on NPR, DittyTV, Austin Music TV, Americana Highways, American Songwriter Magazine and her new album, Soldier On, (Blackbird Record Label), Has been in the top 100 of the Americana Music Association Radio Chart, for the last 15 weeks, with ten of those in the top 50 (May 2024).

Gordon has performed nationally and internationally; recognized for her recent work all over the San Francisco Bay Area, on and is well known to audiences for ‘Loving Janis,’ a one woman show she created as a tribute to Janis Joplin and Janis Ian, two of her formative influences. Her debut album, ‘Soul Of A Showgirl,’ garnered rave reviews for its incisive lyrics and beguiling melodies. It received national airplay and charted #1 on the RMR’s Top 50 Americana Country Albums in Aug ‘22. Her highly anticipated national house concert tour, currently on its 7th year run, is back by popular demand. She is headed into her seventh national house concert tour on the heels of her upcoming sophomore release ‘Traveler,’ out everywhere this fall 2024.
