This new sound, what has been called, ecstatically jazzed ethereality, is also peppered with layered musical instrumentation. The most recent songs have gone through many transformations in lyrical and song production including adding a Novation Launchkey Keyboard and Ableton to the mix. Sakoyana:
Sakoyana is a jazz-funk band from Sonoma County, California. Influenced by sounds and creations of all kinds. Primarily the music is rooted in jazz, blues, and funk, but is also influenced by western classical music, hip hop, Indian classical music, space, plants, meditation and much more. The music strives to balance tight compositional structures with improvisation and joyful noise.
