X Confidence:
X Confidence plays synthesizer-based new wave alt-pop-rock. The driving five-piece band begins with the sweet evocative vocals of keyboardist Robin Schaffner and the gritty plaintive vocals of guitarist Bob Pittman. X Confidence also features the versatile and engaging Rob Wegner on saxophone. Rounding out the band are Jesse Probst on drums and Eric Booker on bass. The band plays an even mix of originals and cover songs. Though the band’s primary focus is on 80’s, or 80’s like material, X Confidence plays a variety of songs from the 60’s, 70’s, 80’s and beyond. In the past year X Confidence has performed at several Sonoma County venues, including the Railroad Square Music Festival and the Rohnert Park Party on the Plaza. This is the band’s second appearance at the Hop Monk in Sebastopol. X Confidence is a mixed race, mixed gender, and mixed age band, fun and accessible to all ears.
John Adam Smith:
John’s roots-driven music blends elements of blues, funk, rock, folk and reggae. He is currently performing solo, showcasing his years of songwriting experience and refined skills as a multi-instrumentalist. John weaves intricate acoustic arrangements, punctuated by open tunings and the captivating sound of his Weissenborn Acoustic Lap Steel Guitar. The music of John Adam Smith is extremely versatile, ranging from upbeat and rowdy to sweet and soulful.
He finds great inspiration from legends such as Duane Allman, JJ Cale, Derek Trucks and Eric Clapton. John Adam Smith has opened for bands including Brett Dennen, Railroad Earth, Elephant Revival, Dark Star Orchestra, Galactic, Trampled by Turtles, Devil Makes Three, The Oh Hellos and many more.
SABIEE:
SABIEE (Shining, Awesome, Brilliant, Intelligent, Ever-Evolving)(she/her) was born in Sonoma County, and has lived and travelled to Europe, LA, and Santa Fe NM. She has since returned to her hometown and received her graduate degree in social work. As a lifelong practitioner of art and music, she uses her art and voice as a way to express feelings, situations, and relationships when words fail. She began writing songs on the piano and guitar and has recently experimented with layered vocal harmonies and alternative sounds.
Olivia Gallagher:
A local singer/songwriter, Olivia started singing when she was just a girl, continuing her family’s musical tradition. She also plays guitar and violin, though her principal focus is vocals. Interwoven acappella and accompanied tracks create a dynamic listening experience, and her emotional, soulful style draws the listener in. Her work derives from personal experience and life story, and is a combination of both original songs and original covers.
