Bassist Les Claypool rarely approaches anything in a straightforward way, so it’s no surprise that his take on jazz would be especially unusual. Enlisting the help of funk virtuoso drummer Stanton Moore of Galactic, as well as longtime collaborators Mike Dillon and Skerik, Claypool brings his Bastard Jazz project to Lagunitas for a night of wild and wigged-out improvisations, reworked Primus songs, and more.

This year, we’re helping turn tunes, laughs, and beers into money for a cause. Lagunitas is proud to donate 100% of net ticket proceeds from most shows to our friends at Best Friends Animal Society, whose mission is to bring about a time when there are no more homeless pets. The final show net proceeds will be donated to Gibson Gives, giving music one guitar at a time. Indeed. It’s good to have friends!
